(2022<\/a>):\u00a0 This published data set represents over 11,000 samples from purebred and domestic cats.\u00a0 Each sample was profiled for\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/labgenvet.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Feline-genetic-disease-mutations-screened-by-DNA-microarray-1.pdf\">50 known mutation varients<\/a> associated with feline genetic diseases.\u00a0 Testing was by hybridization of sample DNA on a custom designed DNA chip microarray.\u00a0 Samples represented predominantly North American and European cats but also cats from other countries.\u00a0 Results are inclusive to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_row][vc_row]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For both data sets<\/strong>, results are presented by cat breed, by disease, by number of samples processed and by percentage of samples recorded as:<\/p>\n<p><strong>N\/N<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 homozygous normal (clear) &#8211; not at risk of developing the disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\/N<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0 heterozygous (carrier) &#8211; for recessive mutations, not at risk of developing the disease; for dominant mutations,\u00a0 at risk of developing the disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\/M<\/strong> \u00a0 homozygous (double) mutant &#8211; at risk of developing the disease for both recessive and dominant mutations.<\/p>\n<p><a
