Continuing Education

In collaboration with Labgenvet, several training courses on dog and cat genetics are now offered by the Continuing Veterinary Education resource of the University of Montreal.  These courses are designed to provide basic and practical information about dog and cat genetics for veterinarians, veterinary students, animal technicians, animal breeders, pet owners and indeed the general public.  A modest fee is charged for taking a course and a certificate of completion is available.  Importantly, the funds raised from the registration of these courses will be used to support maintaining the www.Labgenvet.ca website.  Donations contribute to the hosting and development of the Labgenvet website.

The Labgenvet website is an evidence-based source of information on animal genetics whose sole purpose is educational: “For the genetic improvement of our domestic animals”.  The website is offered free of charge and without advertising.  To date, development and content of the website has been provided by volunteers.  Maintaining the web site does however involve costs.  If you use the Labgenvet website, if you think that the initiative is positive, register for a Continuing Education course.  Make a donation.  This is your resource.  Help us keep the lights on at Labgenvet.
